Click: Tools > Customise > Miscellaneous Configuration > Backups

 

Specify a folder on your computer or network that can store the EQ compressed backups.

 

For a safer backup scheme select a different physical location from the one that stores the EQ databases. You should consider how your EQ backups are in turn backed up with your other IT infrastructure for the most robust backup plan.

 

EQ will automatically create a backup file before loading a system patch or upgrade, and before loading any new catalogues.

 

You can untick these options if you do not want these automatic backup points. It is recommended to leave all backups enabled.
