System Configuration

Before you begin using EQ you need to customise it.

 

You can enter your company details and change the configuration of the system to suit your exact requirements, e.g print layout, on-screen options etc. All the master settings are accessed by going to Tools > Customise.

 

(If this option appears to be disabled your security settings prevent you from accessing this. You would need to use an account with more privileges, e.g. the administrator).

 

Within Customise the options are split into categories down the left hand side.

 

Click a category to display the options you can edit.

 

When you have finished, always exit this screen by clicking update_small Update

 

Exiting by using the X will not save your changes.

 

 

Tabbed View

EQ includes a tabbed view which is enabled by default. You can disable it, to use separate windows, by opening Tools > Customise and un-tick Tabbed View in the bottom right hand corner.

 

Remove Unused Catalogues

Should only be used by an administrator.

This will clear out the folder …\data\catalogues\downloaded as well as removing unused datasets (sub-folders) for catalogues that are no longer installed in your EQ database.
