Your PC needs to meet the below requirements in order to run EQ Professional or EQ Foundation on your computers:
Ensure that you do not subject a working EQ data folder to any synchronisation software, this includes internally or to remote/cloud storage. Examples to avoid are cloud storage such as Dropbox, Sugarsync, Box, SpiderOak and others.
Do not enable Microsoft Sync as this will attempt to replicate copies of EQ data to local PCs and will cause conflicts resulting in error messages and data loss. Attempting to sync the data folder will create multiple copies and cause errors. For backup advice see our backup topic. You are responsible for backing up your data.
Remote Access (without a dedicated server)
EQ Software is a desktop product so to use it on an iPad or similar tablet you need a connection to a PC desktop. For a standard Windows desktop computer this will be a screen sharing remote control application. There are multiple applications available which offers some simple remote access. Examples are Teamviewer, or LogMeIn. You install it on a desktop PC and it runs ready for a remote connection.

EQ can offer a cloud-based hosted solution; either a remote hosted server, or remote hosted applications depending on size requirements.
The following is the recommended minimum specification for running EQ on a terminal server.
You will need Microsoft Client access licences (CAL's) for each user you want to connect to your server, these will need to be obtained through your IT supplier. You will login to your terminal server using Microsoft Remote Desktop Connection (included in Windows and available as a free download for macOS. See more Mac information here.)
Copy and Paste Tip
A tip that can make EQ easier to use on a terminal server is to allow clipboard copying and pasting between your local PC and server, and/or to allow the local hard drives to be available so you can copy and paste files from your local PC to terminal server.
The setting may need to be enabled on your server by your IT administrator. Then you can follow the steps below on your Remote Desktop Connection icon.
