Barcodes

EQ offers barcoding functionality to speed up processing in the following areas. Each of the following describes an additional module, please contact EQ sales for further information on availability and pricing.

Despatch Scanning

EQ Despatch App extends the use of EQ Professional for delivery scheduling and tracking.

You can create weekly delivery schedules on the desktop in a drag and drop interface including route optimisation and planning. Print off individual item labels, then send your delivery loads to mobile devices and barcode scan your products at each process, e.g. scan on to the delivery van, scan off at the customer’s delivery address. Collect signatures, photos and feedback which automatically synchronises back to EQ Professional on the desktop.

The mobile app runs on Android and Apple mobile devices (which use the camera for barcode scanning). For a device with a dedicated barcode imager, use the Honeywell Scanpal EDA50K Hybrid. Read more about the Weekly Delivery List and EQ Despatch App and the requirements in the full instructions here (PDF).

Adding Products at Trade Counter

barcode2

When you have stocked products, you can create a barcode label from EQ for your stock locations/bins. Having created barcode labels for each, you can begin a new standard quotation and scan the products barcodes to instantly add to a quotation

If you use this in conjunction with the “Cash Sale” feature (included in EQ Professional) you can quickly scan products, save and produce a completed order.

This is a software module that requires purchase and activation, and while EQ can recommend scanning devices, you should purchase these separately. A linear imaging contact reader scanner is sufficient. An example product is a DataLogic Touch 65 for USB option. Wireless alternatives are also available.

Factory Time Management

barcode3

Using USB attached computer barcode scanners you can track an order’s progress through the factory by scanning the factory order at key points. Using the weekly production screen, you create a barcode label for each stage of your production (they relate to the milestones in your weekly production screen, e.g. cut, edged, wrap etc including your own customised stages)

This is a software module that requires purchase and activation, and while EQ can recommend scanning devices, you should purchase these separately. (You should consider one scanner for each part of the process depending on location of your PCs.) A linear imaging contact reader scanner is sufficient. An example product is a DataLogic Touch 65 for USB option. Wireless alternatives are also available.
