To create a house type it must be down with a contract site.
Open the 
Contracts module, locate your site and click House Types.
1.Click the 
Add button to create a new house type.
2.Enter the house type name.
3.Complete details for the design number if applicable and set the quantity on the site.
4.Input a date in Estimated Start.
5.Block and Floor can be used if the house types are being used as a block of flats.
Do not enter any details under Master Quotation yet. When your quote is created this button will read Open not Create.
6. Click 
Update to save the house type.
7. Respond Yes to the prompt "Auto complete the plots list?" This will duplicate the list of plots according to the quantity you entered above. E.g. if you entered a quantity of 5 it will add 5 unnamed entries to the plots list.
This is the basic information for a house type completed. Repeat the steps above to add in additional house types.
Once the details are saved the Create button is illuminated for you to create a master quotation. Continue to How to Create a Master Quotation.
Additional Information in House Types
In House Types, on the List tab, there are 2 tick box columns:
Excl Sum - The selected house types will be excluded from the summary section on the printouts
Excl Val - The selected house types will be excluded from the valuation section on the printouts
The other tabs in house types hold extra information that can be added over the course of using the house type.
Info Tab
This tab shows any prompts you have set up in Tools > Customise > Contracts and allows you to enter the additional information. E.g. project manager or fitter names.
Notes Tab
The notes that you enter on this tab can be used in your paperwork. The 2 text boxes are for the heading text and the footer text. During the construction of your document templates merge fields will be used to pick up these notes so they are appear on the print outs.
Revision History
Stores a list of revisions for each quote. These are made manually. See Contracts Revisions.
Quotation Options
A list of prompts that allow you to set extra information for a house type. Click the Edit Popup Contents icon 
to input all possible prompts. Each drop down box is separate.
Plot Details (Call-Offs)
This is your list of all plots that are included in this current house type. The number of entries should match the quantity you input when creating the house type. You create call-offs here once your master quotation is ready. See Call-Offs.
Audit
The audit tab lists a trail of progress so that you can see the history and which user is responsible for each action. You cannot edit this list, it is read only.
