Suppliers

Click supplier Suppliers on the top toolbar to change supplier and catalogue settings.

 

List tab

This view lists the suppliers in A-Z order.

Folder

A folder is created on your system for each supplier so you can store contact, price lists and all correspondence from a supplier in one place.

 

Click the folder button to open the Windows folder. (The location of the folder is under your customer folder. This is set in file locations). Click the drop down arrow by folder to copy, move or create a shortcut directly in the folder. It is useful to store images, PDFs or other related documents that would otherwise be external to EQ.

 

Email

You can email directly from EQ providing your email server settings have been setup. See Email settings.

Emails can be created manually or can use any of the email templates you may have setup. See Email templates.

When emails have been sent they will show in the Contact History tab at the lower part of the suppliers screen.

 

Catalogues

Within suppliers you access the catalogue brands. This is where you will set up catalogue discounts and margins.

New Contact

You can manually add to the Contact History tab (in EQ Professional only). New contact can be used to record telephone calls, appointments, emails, meetings etc.

Contact History works for suppliers in the same way as customer contact history.

 

Lead Time/Carriage

For each supplier you can set the delivery days available and enter the lead time in days. This can be used to calculate the supplier's next available delivery date. There is a hierarchy which allows lead time to be set against individual products from the Catalogues screen too.
